Job Description:

Our clients are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to deal with preparation of monthly accounts for 4 different companies up to trial balance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all invoices and other payment requests are checked and inputted into the organisations Ledgers promptly and accurately, matching against purchase orders where applicable.
  • Create sales invoices where necessary
  • Reconciliation of website order payments within Xero accounting package, Stripe and Pay pal.
  • Assist Management with data/reports taken from website and trouble shooting
  • Query invoices with suppliers and other payment requests with Claimants as necessary and to resolve queries from suppliers and other stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Keeping adequate electronic records of all invoices for each company
  • Ensure accurate data entry
  • Provide holiday cover when required for weekly reconciliation of all transactions through 20 bank accounts
  • Prepare monthly pay runs for each company obtaining authorisation from management
  • Preparation and submission of vat return for all four companies.

  • Assist Finance Team with monthly re occurring cross charge invoices across the group of companies.
  • Monthly reconciliation of inter-company balances
  • Manage accruals and pre payments for all companies
  • Close each company at month end once management accounts finalised
  • Month end journals
  • Identify opportunities for implementing improvements to the Purchase Ledger process and take responsibility for their implementation, guaranteeing its enforcement to all stakeholders (mostly site personnel, but also suppliers, in conjunction with Purchasing, when needed

The successful candidate will have experience within a similar role, ideally be AAT qualified, with good IT skills – especially Excel. You must have excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will also be able to work under your own initiative, with the ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.
